I SO overbooked...

How did this happen? I have three major "activities" scheduled for tomorrow--March 28!

If you know me at all, you know that I'm a noodge--that means that you can't come at me too fast. I hate to not be in control and must be perfectly organized at all costs.

Some how I goofed this time. Big Brothers and Big Sisters called me about two weeks ago and asked if they could count on me for a donation on March 28. Donations must be in drive way by 8 a.m. Oh, sure! No problem.

Then I started checking my very full social calendar and realized that on that very day I have also scheduled Lola a hair cut with Kandice at our house at 10 and (wait for it...) my hair appointment in Peoria at 1:00 p.m.

Do you see the dilemma? This is going to require some finagling. I'm so nervous! (You think I'm kidding? I'm not.) I really am stressed about "all these events" happening on the same day.

So it all boils down to this: I've become my mother! It's sad, but true. When I was a young, working mom in the '90s I scoffed at my mother who could only do one thing a day. If she was to do grocery shopping that was all she booked for that day. Hair cuts--nothing else scheduled...

And I laughed and made fun of her as I ran from work to piano to softball to swim lessons to hair appointments to parent-teacher conferences to... You get my drift? I thought Mom was an old fogey.
I laughed and mocked her gently for her ordered and narrow life.

But, see, I'm in a turmoil now at age 63 (gulp!) because I have three obligations, in my view, at once. I truly am worried about all this. I realize there is actually no problem here. The events are bound to work out.

But for now, I'm trepidacious and all-a-flutter over my fiasco! I'll let you know how this works out.

As I began reading your post, I thought 'oh, dear, JO hates full days'. And you're is really clumped up (and now a lunch date with Hol?)

Deep breath. Think of it as when you were in labor. It sucks for awhile but you know it can't last forever.

WHOA. No reason to be trepidacious. Do what all good business women do. RESCHEDULE something. Life is too short to be so stressed. GOOD LUCK.

OMH, we are sisters! I AM YOUR MOTHER TOO!
On April 3rd I take Lulu Belle to the groomer, myself to the groomer, and I have a quilt class that evening!
I'll be good for nothing on the 4th :(
Let me ease your burden, I'll have lunch with Holly ;)

This post made me laugh.
I remember thinking this about my mother in law.
I'm not sure I'm different though.

I do look forward to hearing how it turns out.
