I have spent the past month (or more) glued to the television listening to political news. I'm basically a masochist, I know. And maybe a bit of an idiot. Oh, and I think I have a headache, too.
So today, to break up the lunacy of the election, there is a barrage of wind, rain, and trees and building cranes blowing over.
Rachel called and reminded me to buy essentials because the transporting of goods might be interrupted. I'm set with Diet Coke, animal crackers, milk, eggs, and cereal. And we have dog food. What else would a person need?
I'm reading the book Texas by James Michener. I just finished the section about the Alamo. You know that everyone fighting on the Texan side was killed there? I didn't know that. I knew it was a defeat, but I didn't know they were all killed. Really sad. If you are a Texan you probably think that I'm an idiot. Sorry. I was English, not history...Is that justification? I suppose not.
I still can't get my background to change on this blog. However, I have decided to let that go. Release the negative energy...Oooomm.
Stay safe and dry. Pray for the folks affected by the disaster of Sandy. And at all cost, please vote. This election MUST end before my sanity drips totally away.

I can't believe people would need to hear one more thing from a candidate.
That made me laugh. Let's break up the political festivities with some natural disasters! I mean, it's not funny...but it was funny!
Sad to say, but I'm with you on the blessed/cursed relief from election coverage. It reminds us of what puny mortals we are.
I think the election has made our emotions the equivilent of the storm?
