Umbrella Tree

We HAD an old, gnarly, sick umbrella tree in our front yard. Had is the operative word since it is now gone. I'm sure it was over 30 years old, but it was ugly and partially dead. It looked like a beaver dam on a stick, a really messy bird's nest on a pole, or a bad hair day...So we chopped it, pulled it, and dug it out! It now rests on the side lawn and in the back of the pickup.
I have to haul it off piece by piece all by myself since Rick is working now, you know. ;o) He likes that he has no time to help. If you go to one land fill on Wednesdays with your city water bill you can dump branches and brush free. However, the stupid Teton Wireless people are also supposed to come take our antenna down. The lady I talked to said, "We can't possibly tell you whether it will be morning or afternoon." So I'm supposed to wait around. Ha! It isn't going to happen. If they aren't here by 10 I'm leaving a note and their "stuff" on the front step. I'm sure they won't do a thing if I'm not here, but...oh, well...
I worked in the yard about 8 hours yesterday and pulled out three more small bushes and gutted the berm. It looks a lot cleaner. Now I just need to think of plants to go back in. I don't want to invest too much because there's still a slim possiblity that we could sell this place. We've had two showings this week, but no offers. I just don't know what to do next. I love the nice weather and am so excited it's finally warm. So except for that pesky prediction of snow this weekend, it looks like spring is here. Ha!

Hey I kinda liked the tree. I thought it was neat, but if it was kinda dead then I guess it had to go. Look at you Wonder Women! Show us those guns (muscles)!
