You know it's almost impossible to catch up with the bloggy world after being out of the loop for three days. You people just keep on posting interesting entries, but I can't read and comment on them all so please forgive me. I'm glad you were still out there being wonderful while I stumbled around in the torn up streets of Twin Falls.
The whole town of Twin Falls depends on a couple of traffic arteries--Blue Lakes, Washington, Pole Line, Falls and some auxiliary streets. The powers that be have chosen to dig up Washington, Pole Line, and parts of Falls. Now if you've never been to our metropolis you might not think that sounds bad, but believe me it paralyzes the "big city" traffic of Twin Town. Semis, buses, farm trucks, and urban traffic are all funneled down to Blue Lakes, which at its best is a disaster. Cars were backed up on Washington from Falls all the way to Addison. It was ugly.
My poor little momma was even more confused than usual and barely could talk to me. She just looks kind of confused and shrugs. Breaks my heart! It was difficult to see her like that. She didn't even know that today was her 89th birthday. UGH!!
I didn't have any one to eat with there. I ate alone in a Mexican restaurant the first night and that is awkward. I ended up eating the whole bowl of chips and salsa because I just wanted to have something to do besides sitting there looking stupid and alone. The salad I ordered tasted like spicy poo and all-in-all I wasn't anxious to repeat that fiasco. So the second night I ate a granola bar that I brought from home and drank tap water--blech! This morning I ate raisin bran cereal at the continental breakfast and stole a dry bagel which I ended up eating for lunch in the Reno airport. All this was washed down with gallons of diet Coke. In between those culinary treats I had 4 packs of Southwest Airline peanuts and half a bag of gold fish crackers. I made Rickster take me out for dinner, but I'm still a little hung over from the poor dietary choices.
But I'm home and glad to be here. I'll never catch up with your postings but I appreciate all of your comments on my last post. You done good! Now I'm just waiting for the new baby to arrive and then I'm off again for a few days. I will keep up with your blogs in between though. Happy to be back to my "normal" routine.

Love your new picture!Cute couple!
Enjoy the sunshine, soon it will be a chilly 85, better get out your sweaters! ; )
I wish you knew my mom. She's ridiculously fun and a delightful dining companion. And what the heck are they doing to our town?!? I hope the end result is good!
Oh, and welcome back!
Great new pic at the top! Glad you made it home safely.
I've only been to Twin Falls once but can imagine what it must be like with the majority of the streets torn up.
Whenever I think I may be dining alone in a restaurant, I make sure there is a book in my purse. This way, I don't look so alone. I could be anyone just taking a quiet break. Plus, if I am enjoying the book, I don't think about dining alone. At least not much. My other option is to get take out and enjoy it back at my hotel.
glad you made it home safely and try being gone for 10 days and catching up... ugh!
Hugs!! I'm glad you're back - safe and sound!
