Grand Twins Stay Busy

I inevitably feel old when the boys are here. More proof that God knew that moms are best when young and                   energetic. I stumbled into bed exhausted last night.
This was part of our agenda yesterday:
We baked banana muffins. I usually put chocolate chips in and forgot until the muffins were in the papers. So Blake decided to put the chips on top to look like monster faces. (imagination required here)
Then we completed a craft that I saw on a blog to make these cute felt turkeys. They loved gluing on the pieces. I was amazed at what a great time they had with this--though Rooster's expression doesn't reflect that. (He was trying to look tough.)
We ran to Walgreens for an errand and a cheap toy. Watched the public library's copy of "Open Season" about 50 times. (slight exaggeration) Watched "Frosty the Snowman" video I bought at Wal-mart for $5 and "Toy Story" from library too. We read books, rode bikes, and played trucks in the dirt. Then last night there was a fire and smores. Everyone smelled like smoke so that necessitated baths all around, more stories, and FINALLY sleep.
Somehow it never works out quite as smoothly as it sounds. There are minor disasters and dust ups in between, but mostly fun  for a FEW days. We're meeting their mom and dad in Laughlin tomorrow to tour some swap meet thing that the Rickster found. I hope I can keep up with these two until then. I doubt I'll ever be able to handle all three at once. How do other people juggle three children? I give you all a big salute for what you do every day.

How fun! You are a super grandma! Love it! If we lived closer they could have popped in for our Toy Story 3 party! My girls would have loved it!

I hear ya sister, I always have grand plans when The Little Loves come to visit, but reality has her own ideas:O
The most important thing to remember is that you are making wonderful memories with these boys of yours. My grandmothers were my favorite people in the whole wide world, they allowed me to be a carefree happy kid with no strings attached:)

You are an amazing grandma! Seriously - my grandma didn't do HALF of what you do for the twins. Trust me, they appreciate you :)
