Lightness

Sorry I got so serious yesterday. Don't know why I did that... On to drivel and frivolity. After all, it's the season for thankfulness and light heartedness.

It's cooler in Arizona than it has been -- 41 degrees this morning. I looked at the weather "at home" in Idaho, however. It's supposed to be -2 degrees tonight and there are blizzards raging. So I guess I'll just hunker down and not complain. Brrrr! That's cold, Idahoans.

Found out yesterday that my hair dresser is moving clear across the valley to Phoenix. I can't (won't) drive there, so...guess I'll have to work out something else. She really whacked me too short yesterday. I look like a British school boy.

And speaking of British, Katherine and William have set the date--April 29, 2011. It will be chilly in jolly ol' England, but I hear they will ride in a closed carriage. I don't resent all the hoopla for this royal event. At least it's a positive occasion. There's so much darkness in the world that we should see a wedding celebration as a chance to be joyous.

I'm getting excited for Thanksgiving! 'Tis a little strange since we aren't really doing anything special and no family will be here. I guess it's just the thought of the day of gratitude, remembering my sweet parents, and realizing that I truly am blessed.

I hope you have those holiday preparations under control and can relax some before the onslaught. I'm so thankful for you, blog friends, for my health and family and freedoms. I'm grateful that I can read, I'm thankful I'm not homeless or ill, I appreciate the values my mom and dad instilled in me. Please, take a minute to be thankful for your benefits and say a little prayer for those serving in our military, those who are ill or suffering, and give a hug to those you love. Happy Thanksgiving!
