Good News, Bad News

Good News:

1. The ice maker is healed. Hallelujah!! I think a box of Rick's delectable breakfast burritos was sticking out too far on the top shelf in the freezer and the little laser light wasn't lining up correctly. We have ice! It's either the burrito box or an August miracle...

2. We supposedly are going out to dinner this evening for our anniversary! I'll believe it when the food hits my tummy, but...for now ...Let the celebrations begin!

3. I think we have two hummingbird nests in our front tree. I'm too lazy to change the lens on the camera and take a telescopic picture. And I'm a little afraid of being attacked by mama bird, but I will git 'r done eventually. Why are our birds nesting so much later than the ones in Utah? Who knows?

4. Gabby Gifford voted on the debt bill yesterday. It was so good to see her there and doing so well.

5. It's "Shark Week" on the Discovery Channel!!

Bad News:

1. Congressional members are still idiots. I have no faith in any of them. I do not feel that this "compromise" or whatever it is will really be for the benefit of the majority of us. I do not think we are out of the woods yet.

2. I told Rick I was glad I married him 32 years ago. He responded, "Yeah, me too" in the most flat, monotone, insincere voice ever. Thanks, honey!

3. Rick's ear hurts because he dived into the pool and something popped. I was trying to help by putting drops in that the vet gave us for when Barley gets water in her ears. I might have slipped and poured  a little too much in his ear. I'm sorry! Dog medicine is good for humans. I'm sure. I repeat louder so you can hear me, "I'M SORRY!" Maybe you should go to a real doctor, just saying... Why are you growling at me, Rick?

4. Still no cleansing. Still hot outside. Still grumpy and puffy.

5. Daughter is going on vacation for a week tomorrow and doesn't yet have dog sitters for the hounds. I hate the hounds, but I hate to see them starve to death slowly too. Even the hounds...

6. I'm still not coming up with interesting blog posts. For that I'M SORRY!!

Glad about the ice, the anniversary, and about Gabby. Where are you going for dinner? Rickster sounds "grunchy" lately. Grunchy, my new word. Maybe it's the heat. You, Lucy and I are going tubing. Did I tell you that yet?

Happy Anniversary Jo! Dinner will cure the grunchs. FYI, my brother is a congressman...Jeff Flake. I think he's great, but agree on your opinion of politicians generally

I agree about congress..... They don't have their heads out of their butts just yet.

Happy anniversary Jo. Enjoy your dinner out. I vote for August miracle for your ice maker. Surely you deserve it. Your blogs are fun to read even when you think you don't have anything to blog about.

No clenz yet?
Hmmmmm....
I think that would make me cranky.

Happy Anniversary. You married a total romantic didn't 'cha?
That's a little funny. Does he read your blog?

Hopefully the daughter will def get a dog sitter. Dogs are more work than kids if you ask me.
