Ever since the "election" (aka "rip off") I have had this massive pain in my neck and shoulder. It's kind of like the teacher neck I used to get during finals or stressful patches. This is a tightening like a vice wrapped around my muscles. It hurts.
So yesterday I took half a hydrocodone. It went away but I was left with a headache and when I took my Imitrex then I got sick and threw up. So it took me all morning to get revived. The ache is back big time but I'm not taking meds. That didn't work out so well.
I know most of you don't watch NASCAR but Amy does so I'm sharing this. At the Sprint race yesterday a huge fight broke out between Jeff Gordon and Jeff Burton's crew. I suppose Jeff Gordon might have wrecked the other Jeff or something minor. I personally don't blame Gordon. That's exactly I feel about Obama and his taudry gang of Dems. I'm just about ready to jump Harry Reed in some dark alley and beat the crap out of him. Then I'll work my way up. If any FBI agents read my blog, please understand that this is not a threat. I'm just venting.
I love Snoopy and this is the cutest Veterans Day tribute ever. I want to thank the veterans. It's a noble choice. Thank you!
The Petraeus mess and the sadness of this for his wife and family continues to add to the anger and vitriole I feel concerning the Benghazi debacle, the election, and the President's plans for the fiscal cliff. I blame these situations for my recent neck pain and general malaise. How convenient that this happened just before the general was supposed to testify. Just like the drone shot at by Iran, the Libyan inquiry, Fast and Furious, and who knows what other things we don't know about. It all puzzles me tremendously and makes me even more disappointed with our recent voting charade.
I changed my entry way vignette. (It's not really a "vignette" but I like that word so I'm pretending it is.) I had a quilt hung on the wall where the wreath is and this table was black. So I spent Saturday and Sunday painting it kind of antiqued white with distressed accents. I bought a lamp at Target and moved things around from other places in the house.
The wreath I bought at Michael's and put a fallish hanging thing in it. I'm going to change the accents with each season and use it as the framework for each holiday. I need some other little things, but I thought it quite cute and Pinteresty. When I was finished with the table and asked Rick to help me move it in--after I had spent over eight hours working on it--he said, "Are you going to leave it this color?"
That means in Rick language that he didn't think it looked quite right. The man has no taste. I don't know how he ever found me because I am quite classy and have an excellent sense of style. The man knows nothing.
Just for that I'm opening a can of chili tonight and calling it dinner and I don't want to hear a word of distaste for this. It is Nalley's chili which one cannot buy in Arizona. It's the chili of choice for the Gooding clan. My sister-in-law brought us several cans from Idaho when they came down. I don't know how one can eat any other brand of canned chili. And don't bother to tell me you never lower yourself to open a can. I don't feel that great and I plan to leave it that way. Yes, I'm still grumpy and I don't see much change in the near future.

Sorry about the neck pain and the puking. I find that either Doritos or a Dove Bar usually helps with that. Love that table!!! I once went to a home of an interior designer to buy their appliances (Craigslist). She had just bought a Amish distressed dining set. Gorgeous!! When we left Brian said, "can you believe they spent so much on that thing? It was all scuffed up, I would have asked for my money back!" Men!
Awww. . . I'm always in your corner. Especially on the political thing. And that table? Beautiful. Will you come and redecorate my whole house? It needs painting and I don't know what colors to use. My 'envisioning' has never worked. I bought a new vacuum at an estate sale last Saturday and am I ever surprised to see how much dirt it brought out of these carpets. And why am I telling you all of this stuff. My fingers just keep typing and typing away.
Hi Jo, I am here after hearing about your feelings from Roeann. I have been having a rough time also since the election.
I'd love for you to visit my blog if you are interested.. In the meantime, just know that there are MANY of us out there feeling lousy right now.
Hugs,
Betsy
You covered a lot of 'stuff' in this entry - probably culd have made it into two or three!
Your new entry is lovely, especially the table.
It is a legitimate vignette and don't let anyone tell you differently.
