Why am I so judgmental and bored?

What is wrong with me? Am I unAmerican?

I can't get interested in these winter Olympics. I used to love watching the ice skating, the downhill racing, even the luge. I used to love the charming characters and the uplifting triumphs and even the tragic defeats.
But this year I start to watch and I'm just instantly bored and easily distracted. That Georgian luger's death didn't help. So sad and absolutely horrible to have happen in such a bizarre circumstance.

The snow is iffy. The weather is warm. The courses on downhill and snowboarding are outlined in tacky blue spray paint. (Which my husband pointed out is probably ecologically friendly...) It looks pretty trashy to me. Can't they come up with a better system in the freakin' Olympics, for heaven's sake?
Maybe I'm just a grumpy witch. It's probably just me. I'm a little testy and mean spirited lately. I can't go into detail without sounding more bitter, heartless, and nasty than usual.
Perhaps I can rise above this pit of doom. What's left in the Olympics, by the way?
I tried watching "Hoarders." I thought that would lift my spirits, but those people on there tonight were too disgusting for words. They were seriously disfunctional people with major problems beyond their failure to throw away.
And, though I know it's petty and small to admit it, they were just really homely, unfortunate looking slobby people. I am a terrible person, aren't I? Do you hate me now?
 Go ahead. I deserve it.
I'm an Olympic hater and I judge hoarders. Can I sink any lower?

I'm just plain pissy today, no particular reason.
And about the Olympics, don't you think they are past their prime?
And in lieu of all that is happening in the world-war, Haiti, famine....
I hope your daughter is OK, you are great to give her a break!
Seriously, I should just shut up and go to bed.

This years olympics deff. are different. I have loved watching the snowboarding and ice skating. It makes me nervous for them though. Hope things get better for ya!

I used to get all hyped up waiting for the Olympics to start and then never missed watching it. Now, I haven't even watched 5 minutes of it. Just no interest for some reason.

I've never watched Hoarders although I've seen the advertisements for it. I'm sure it would make me crazy with anxiety watching it since I tend to be a little on the OCD side!

No judgments here. I can't get into the Olympics or any other sport for that matter. Oh well, I highly doubt my life will be missing out much. And hoarders are fascinating for the reason that I can't get over how much of pigs people can be. I'm not perfect, but come on. Clean your freaking house every, oh I don't know, few months. :) So, no worries here... I still like you.

P.S. Thanks for the thin comment. You made my day. I have been working on limiting my carbs and sweets and I get on my elliptical almost every day. But, like most people, it's a daily struggle for me. Why do I love sugar so much?

Hi Jo!
I watched Hoarders today...and those people just piss me off. Pardon my french but get off your butt and clean. Maybe I am all wrong, but in my eyes there is a difference between hoarding objects and never cleaning your house. Oh well, I guess I am just mean. ;o) Anyway, about the Flea Market Style Mag...I posted a reply to your comment if you will go back to my blog to check it out. That way I thought I may answer that same question for others. ~mary~

Hoarders scares the living daylights out of me. It really makes me want to sell it ALL.

I think NBC is just doing the Olympics wrong. I agree, there is some kind of spark missing. I also HATE the blue paint, is that something new this year? Ick.

My husband and I had the chance to work at the 2002 SLC Olympics. What an experience! Ever since then, watching them has been so much more fun.
I totally agree with you about the blue paint....so professional looking. Or something.

I've struggled to get interested in the Winter Olympics. I usually enjoy figure skating...not this year. I am too easily distracted and bored.

Everytime I watch Hoarders I feel like I need to clean and de-junk. The ones that really tick me off are the people who have had their kids taken away. Seriously people?!?! Is the cardboard box filled with rotten vegetables more important than your own kids?

HUGS!!

My husband actually got ticked off with me because I said I couldn't care less about the Olympics and wouldn't let him watch it on our big tv downstairs. I just SO DIDN'T CARE!!! And besides, they were having a ton of back-to-back Housewives of Orange County episodes on!!! Hello?? Those bitches crack me up!

I can't watch Hoarders. I get too mad. One woman seriously couldn't throw away USED paper towels. UGH!!! They make me mad too. If you have to use a huge shovel to clean out your house - you have issues!
