The new glasses are in. No need to post pictures. The new ones look a lot like the old ones but they see much better. It's so nice. Seeing well is so nice...
And speaking of HGTV (that's a little joke. I know we weren't...see that's the funny part.) Oh, bother...Any way, what is it with one of my favorite channels? They have the worst line up of programs lately. It's always "House Hunting," "Get It Sold," "Property Virgins," over and over and the programs are all reruns. What did they do with all those tricky Design Stars? Where are first-run shows? Don't they realize that people are counting on them for entertainment and education? Sheesh! Talk about going to hell in a hand basket...or whatever that saying is. That sounds wrong now I say it. What is the right expression?
I really have nothing exciting to blog. I realize yesterday's post was too long. I'll make this short. I'm empty!

Jo I totally agree with you about HGTV. I watch it alot - sometimes in the background when I am doing stuff around the house and if I hear something cool that interests me I'll stop and watch for a moment. But you are right there have been no good design or decor shows on as of late - Just alot of house hunting or International house hunting which is worse!
Don't have cable. I'm probably not missing out on much huh?
You should post the new glasses, I am nosy that way.
I got a new pair of glasses a few days ago and I have spent since then with blinding migraines. I hope I get used to them. It's great to be able to see, but they are WAY strong.
I don't watch HGTV anymore. Just got too boring. CONGRATULATIONS on your NEW glasses. You can see clearly now, can't you? ENJOY!
I used to love HGTV soo much..but now, not soo much..Hmmm??
My eyes have been wonkey..blury..I better get hem checked. Glad you can see clearly now.. :-)
You are so comforting. I can't explain exactly why...but you are. :-)
Questions:
1. What is Barley's Kong? Like King Kong? Donkey Kong?
2. Is "17 Miracles" worth buying? It teases me at Costco.
3. Was the pulled pork difficult to make?
Love. :-)
Hell in a handbasket is correct. I hate when tv stations start messing with my programs. I don't watch much tv but I do have a couple of shows that I like to watch just before I fall asleep and they messed those up too! You know who drives me nuts? That realtor on property virgins. She takes those couples to a neighborhood, asks them what they love about it and then tells them that they are too poor to own anything that nice. Lovely.
Guess we're mostly of the same mind about HGTV ... I miss the good decorating shows too. Too many "selling your house" shows now, especially in a market that is so slow.
I hate picking out new glasses frames -- I'm always looking forward to it and then find it so hard to find something I want to wear everyday for the next two years and still like them. Ugh! And sometimes the selection is lacking as well. I have an appointment in December for my tired eyes as well.
Mum used to use the expression 'going to Hell in a handbasket', but it doesn't seem to make sense does it. Going to hell in a handcart makes more sense.
You're lucky you found glasses you like. I always have such a hard time choosing any.
I say " going to hell in a hand basket" but I think it is probably "hell in a hardcart" either way gets the point across.
My beef is with the History Channel. I can't figure out how soem of those shows have to do with history. And TLC - AKA the learning channel. Nothing educational about that one.
