A Few Feeble Musings

I admit that I'm at a loss for blog post subjects. I know that's not new. I'll just rant on because I can.

1. Have you seen Sophia Grace and Rosie on the "Ellen" show? These are two of the cutest, funniest and most candid little souls you will ever view. It's hard to explain what they do. Ellen saw them on YouTube, I heard, and asked them on her show a few months ago. Since then they have been her roving reporters at several events like the Grammys. They sing. They chatter. They giggle. They are best friends. They love pink (and purple) tutus and tiaras. Seeing Ellen visit with them is delightfully endearing. She doesn't talk down to them. You know Ellen. She just baits them and lets them go. They make my heart happy. I would have uploaded a video of them, but I don't know how. sigh!

2. I bought Easter decorations today: paper mache eggs in the same brown as the hearts for Valentine's Day, rustic brown rabbits and rustic beige birds, tiny river rocks and burlap ribbon. Those are going to have to do til the Fourth of July, I imagine. Sorry, I'm unwilling to take a picture.

3. I happen to love pekingese dogs. Malachy, a fluffy best of show peke won the Westminster Dog Show yesterday. Don't be dissin' the dog, people. I've heard enough snotty comments about this pampered pooch. You're probably just jealous because he's better groomed than you. All pekingese look snooty and snobby. They can't help it. I had two Pekes when I was younger and I loved them with all my heart. I'll pet Toy and Teeny are up in heaven all happy for Malachy.

4. Have you heard about Jeremy Lin, the basketball player who has emerged from out of no where to score big for the New York Nicks? He's a Harvard graduate from Taiwan who was undrafted by the NBA, traded off by two NBA teams, and almost dropped from the Nicks' roster. Then his coach let him play when two of his starters were unable to play. He's scored around 28 points each game since then and is just exploding in popularity. I suggest you check him out. He's a real feel-good story and he, along with Sophia and Rosie, will make you smile.

5. In Arizona when it's around 57 degrees for the high temperature, Arizonans complain vociferously about the "cold." In their defense, it did snow in Tucson yesterday. I guess that qualifies as cold in any ones book, but still... We have become sissy-la-la's from living in this temperate climate.

6. Oh-Oh! I want you all to know that the lady that dyes my hair asked if I'd changed my make up. She said it looked so nice. See, Jan! I am positively dewy. I told you. I told you. I felt so pretty for a second there.
