I live a small life-- small by my own choosing, I suppose. Hectic schedules, scintillating social events, travel to foreign lands--none of that sounds appealing to me.
On the other hand, I'm not sure I intended it to be so minute and so quiet. I seem to have painted myself into a corner--a quiet, safe, and mundane corner. It's a'right.
The highlights of my Monday to include:
- changing the sheets
- bathing Lola
- cleaning the kitchen
- maybe going for a walk
- starting the dishwasher
- going to Fry's grocery store
I'm taking my tax stuff into the accountant tomorrow. That's something to anticipate with trepidation.
The Republican candidates are coming to Mesa for a debate. Be still my heart!
At least the weather is pleasant and I don't have a migraine (yet.) Life is indeed good.

Nicole, WTH was that?
I like the word MINUTIA. It covers a lot of stuff.
Not everyday is epic. I like what you are doing today because I'm doing about the same thing....except I don't have a dog to bathe. This is why we are retired....we get to pick our schedules.
Sun's out here, too. But it's damn cold!
I think a good number of us if honest also lead lives filled with minutia most of the time -- that's every day living. And occasionally we get one of those special and fun days that fill us up so we can continue doing the day-to-day stuff. In my case it makes for sporadic blogging.
You and I are standing in the same unpainted corner. If you ever decide to get out and do something exciting, I mean, once in a lifetime exciting, let me know, I'm up for it. Maybe you should do a bucket list. I'll bet going to Fry's won't be on it.
I tend to be a stress puppy and I have learned my limits. Sometimes doing nothing is what I need to do to stay sane.
I think everyone has to find the balance in their lives that feels good to them. If that is in the corner - so be it :-D
I like the word Minutia too:-D
It is good to not fill your time with non important stuff.
It sounds like you are the one who has it figured out.
My husband wants to travel the world, going here or there. He does NOT have the money to do it, though. Me, the only thing on my bucket list is to have a very small cottage, cabin, trailer or whatever... overlooking a lake. I want to see the sun rise and set there. The birds flying by. Just a simple life. But so far, NOTHING. I'm glad you are living your dream. take care.
I'm actually looking foward to a quiet little life :)
I also have a small life. I like it most of the time. When I step away from it, I get uncomfortable and want to go back. I am not opposed to adventure. I'll take it but when I am finished, I want to retreat to my corner with everything I love.
