Too Tuesday

OK, so to get the stench of rotted meat out of my head, let me post anew:

1. Rickster came up for a good solution to ever leaving meat in the cool pack again. "Put the whole big pack in the front seat with you when it has meat or perishables in it. Then you won't forget it." That Rickster is a lot smarter than he looks. I think it might work.

2. The Daytona NASCAR race last night was a debacle--as the headline in the Arizona Republic stated.
Wrecks, delays, rain, conflagrations of jet fuel, Tide sprinkled on the track. Finally Rick and I went to bed. It did end without us--two and a half hours after we went to bed. Kenseth won! He should get some kind of award for enduring to the end.

3. I bought airline tickets last week to go to Idaho in May. I think I might have made a smart move, for a change. With gas prices going through the roof, word is that fares will skyrocket. I hate skyrocketing anything. Why do the darn gas prices keep going UP? One station raised it 2 cents while I waited at the stop light. Craziness!!

4. I started Indexing on www.familysearch.org again. Indexing is so fun. If you haven't done it, sign up. Yes, it is time consuming and addicting as all get out, but it is amazingly entertaining and rewarding. If you are not LDS, I don't know if you can do it or would want to, but I am happy.

5. Today is GOP primary voting in Arizona. We're going down after Rick gets home from work. I really love the principle of voting. We have the opportunity. Whether our candidate makes it in or not, we have still spoken. It's the best system I'm aware of. Maybe not perfect, but still a step in the right direction. Exercise your right to vote when possible. (It's probably the only form of exercise I'm going to get today. hahahaha)

6. We are going to Daughter's next weekend. I'll be glad to see the babies. However, the whole environment makes me itchy. Hope all goes well. I always worry, you know.

7. Must shower and make a trip to Sam's Club to repurchase the stuff that spoiled. I will NOT leave it in car this time. I WILL NOT.

8. I'm reading Prayers for Sale. I like it but it's kind of sad and gloomy. I don't think I would read it twice as Bridgette (Red Shoes) did, but I'm glad I tried it. It makes me cold, dreary, and sorry for Hennie.
