I Went Toward the Light...

OMG I've been sick. A killer flu! Killer, I say. I won't even describe the carnage--it's brutal. Twelve hours of wretching and headache so bad I was crying (and I'm used to migraines). Then twelve hours of chills and fever holding on hoping to die. Then this morning I'm weak as a new born without the cute pink glow. I didn't even turn on the computer. That's how sick I was. Sick, I say, sick!!

The visiting teachers came over even though Rick had left messages telling them I was incomunicato. They're such sweet ladies. There I was in my t-shirt and underwear bottoms because I'd gone through three changes of jamies. Luckily they scurried away quickly. Hope no germs were shared.

While I was in pain and agony the maintenance guys came by and trimmed limbs off the trees next to our outer wall. Barley doesn't like hispanics (sorry, I can't help it that my dog isn't racially tolerant. Our black lab A.K. didn't like black people??) In Arizona hispanics are among all groups of workers so Barley has it tough. Anyway, she nearly ate the guys walking on top of the wall cutting limbs. I had to rise from my death bed in my underwear and put her in the garage. It was all I could do for the poor dear. She's was so upset. I saved some poor guy a bit bottom, I think. Barley was protecting me in my moment of death...

Rachel (only child in last post) is upset because I can't take the boys this weekend. I apologize!! That flu is way beyond my control and I won't be in top shape for days. I HAVE to be in top shape for those little fellas. It takes a strong grandma jo and I'm weakened. So weakened...

Have a good Father's Day weekend. We don't do anything special, just love the old elf with all our heart. He's a good man. I'm so glad I have him. Yesterday he unloaded the dishwasher (which he never is asked to do) and actually put the plates away in the right order. (Yes, I have a special way of putting the plates--white, gold repeat. Never two white or two gold together.) It was so sweet. I get thrilled over very small things especially when I'm recovering from near-death experiences. But I digress...

I'm SO sorry you were sick. I've never had the flu, so I can only imagine how terrible it is!

It must really be going around! I talked to my brother in Oregon yesterday and told him I've had a similar flu for a couple days and he said, "How is it possible to be sick in all that heat?" :-)

Ooo, I had this awhile ago, nasty stuff.
Wish I were closer, I'd ring your doorbell and run!

Just kidding:)

Oh no!!! That is NO FUN!!! Clorox wipes and Lysol spray. KILL THOSE GERMS!!!!!

I'm anal about stupid stuff like that too. I'm so happy when my wishes are obeyed and get so ticked off when they aren't. Men are trainable....given enough time and enough treats. Rather like dogs.

Feel better soonest!!!!

I'm so glad you're feeling better...I've got it now, only more of sinus/sore throat issues. The chills are coming on now so I'm hoping for the best! We're supposed to leave for vacation TOMORROW!
