I planned to write an entry about how I am so NOT an apron builder and how we have to "relinquish" our Idaho title for boat registration in Arizona. How my home teacher brought a gallon drum of popcorn that I'm at a complete loss to know what to do with....How Boise State won the Maaco Bowl in Las Vegas 26-3 (take that Utes!)
But then...I saw this story about a woman in California who lost every thing in the mudslides. No insurance, tight on money, all she owned gone--One of many in the same predicament.
I decided that I'd tone down the sarcasm and cynicism a bit.
I hope your Christmas is safe and dry. Capture the spirit of the season where ever you can. May you realize your blessings and pass goodness on to those with less. May you love and laugh and conquer worry.
Merry Christmas, friends. I pray that sorrows will lighten and burdens be eased in 2011. Though the ideal, glittery holiday is likely impossible to attain, keep your problems in perspective and appreciate your blessings.

We saw a farm on our way down here today that was completely washed out. So sad. You're right, it's a good perspective reminder. I feel so bad for these folks.
