Tex, the Cardboard Longhorn

Lest you were wondering if I had forgotten my word for 2011--nonsense-- I leave you with a picture of my newest purchase. He is Tex, a cardboard longhorn. The description said it was for decorating with Southwest flavor. I want that style though I really don't have that yet.

Tex's cost will never be revealed to the Rickster. He doesn't need to know everything. I needed something to cheer me. I've wanted an animal head. Tex matched my style better than any other of the animals I looked at.

David Bromstad on "Color Splash" has a cardboard moose in his studio. I saw it on one of his shows and loved it. I now have a longhorn. I'll post pictures when Tex arrives. I'm anxious to mount him hang him on the wall. Stay tuned and don't call the decor police on me.

*giggles* at the "mount him" part...

I like this version much better than a real animal head. I think it would creep me out too much! Enjoy!!

Why do I sense that some of you do not relish my cow head? Well, that's hunky dory. I know he's a bit bizarre, but you will love him when you get to know him, I'm positive. I'm all about nonsense...or nervous breakdown. I'm not certain which will prevail.

I think your new friend is definitely bizarre, but in a really interesting cool way. I kind of want one now!
