Though we didn't have a tree, or gifts, or formal dinner I still managed to over do. Too much Moose Munch, too many mixed nuts, chocolate, popcorn, ugh! Now today I'm paying the price. Spent many minutes in the bathroom and lying on the couch. I won't go into detail.
So no church today. Unfortunately, it didn't take much to convince me not to go. I just don't have the desire today. Our church starts at 2:00 p.m. at the present time. It's just obnoxious. By 2 o'clock I can talk myself out of religion. (I admit, I'm sometimes not very nice.)
Next Sunday we'll start at 8 a.m. That is really early... Am I ever satisfied? I think after the initial shock that will be better. At least I can get rolling when I first get up and not just sit around and stew.
I see where there's snow in the South for the first time since the 1800s. Wow! I'm sure that's interesting for the southerners.
We went to True Grit yesterday. Went in for the 1 o'clock showing, but it was sold out. So we had to buy tickets to the 2:15 show and wait in line for an hour. We didn't have to wait in line, but if not we'd have been sitting in the rafters or the first row. It was good! Maybe I was expecting too much...I can't remember the original that well now, so we need to rent it and compare. But it was entertaining. (Too bad I'm so cheap. I hate paying $30 for two tickets, a large popcorn and a regular drink.) I know--I should get out more.
I need to "cleans" my poor system soon. I don't like feeling fat and icky. Enjoy the weekend.

I like church early so I get there and GET IT OVER WITH!! :))
(hanging head in shame)
Hmm... I'm not sure where you heard that thing about snow since the 1800's, haha. I live in TN and we get snow every year. Not a lot, but enough for us to roll around for a few minutes! :)
The cost of going to the movies is just crazy!!! I don't know how kids can afford it like we used to "back in the day", lol!
Our theater really sticks - it's all on the same level, not with stadium seating. So unless you are in the front row, you can't see anything!! Isn't that just crazy???
HI!!!
I am so sorry you are sick with a stomach bug, I hardly doubt it was from moose goodings!!!Or reindeer snacks, there is a bug going arfound, I kinda felt sick to my tumnmy yesterday too, instead I have a nasty headcold from all the germ sharers!!!
I have been silently cursing that little girl that was at target coughing and sneezing all over that store at 8 p.m. nom less, her MOMMY should be cursed not the little girl who really wanted to be home in a warm bath!!!I do not understand germ spreaders????Like why are they out????
Church at 8 a.mn., to early for me!!!!I like ours at 11 or if I am up and feeling ready we go at 9!!!!But 2 p.m.???I agree with you!!!
But Sunday is church day so I guess it should not matter, just so we go!!!!
Have a great week
any smallm plans for New Years eve????I agreed to babysit little one so mom and dad could go get dinner alone before baby #2 gets here!!!
HUgs 2 U,
jamie
Don't worry, IMO $30 is way to much for a movie these days! It is ridiculous!
HI JO!!!
I just bought Humphrey's first christmas after church that night!!!try amazon again, that is where I bought it!!!
I got it new for 9 dollars and some very good used ones were like 8 I think???Try again, it is a really cute story!!!

jamie
Ah..yes. IO too have food-hangover. Literally..it hangs over my belt..blah...hate it. But I have done well today..however, STILL hungry and I don't think I can handle one more apple..or carrot. Gimme somethin good!
eeew! 8!!
sheez, what happened to 9!! We need to really start petitioning for 2 hour church, that would take care of these horrible hours!
You're tummy will feel better after you get back to "regular" food, the holidays are so hard on my gut!!
I want to see that movie, I think we're planning to go this week.
We went to midnight mass on Christmas eve! I was pretty jealous of the kiddos sleeping in the pew in front of us....
Hope you're feeling beter!!
Whoa! Wait!!!! Eight FREAKING O'Clock???? That is way too early. Our new time is 9:00 and I was belly aching about that!
I feel for you sister!
P.S. Movies are way too ridiculously expensive!
