I used to have music on my blog. I tried to fit the choices to my postings: "Crazy" by Patsy Cline when we were jobless and trying to sell our house; "The Story" by Brandi Carlile when I was depressed AGAIN and felt worthless; "Red Umbrella" by Rhianna when I wanted to cheer up (?); Kenny Chesney just when I felt like a shot of Kenny--you get the idea. But then I started blog hopping, stalking the blog, snooping in other people's business, if you must, and I took the sound track off mine.
The music on other people's blogs annoys the hell out of me. It grates on my nerves and detracts from the posts. Maybe I have a short attention span or poor sense of concentration; what ever the reason, blog music just doesn't cut it.
I like all kinds of music at just about any other time--riding in the car through traffic snarls, cleaning the house, or when I'm showering. I even used to listen to albums on my stereo when I studied in the dorm in college. (For those of you who weren't born yet when Armstrong walked on the moon, google "records," "albums," maybe even the 70's and you'll get what I'm talking about.) I digress--So back to the point at hand.
Don't expect me to spend too much time with your blog if you have tunes tinkling through the diatribe. (except you, Bethany, whom I love dearly and will still be faithful to even with accompaniment.) I'm sure those people won't care a bit, but I just had to get that off my slightly saggy chest. (You might want to google "signs of aging" if you don't understand that saggy reference.)

I've been blog hopping and found my way here. Your post struck a chord since I just recently hopped out of a blog playing music and found it incredibly annoying. Now if it were Kenny Chesney, I might have stayed a little while...
I am so with you. I usually have to mute my computer when I am blog hopping. I have enough enough distracting noise in my house. :)
Thats funny. Half the time I forget I even have music on my blog cuz I always have my sound off.
