Baby in My Home Town

Julia Abigail lived 60 hours. Her mom and dad were kind enough to share her fleeting hours with those of us who peaked into their lives via their blog. She didn't suffer. She was loved. They know that they will be with her again and that she will be whole and healthy when they next meet. Their faith and strength overwhelms me.

I wish there was something I could do to help them. But the best I can muster is using their example to realize that my own problems are relatively miniscule. God blessed them and buoyed them. I'm thankful Julia didn't suffer and didn't have to struggle with her problems any longer.

I'm just speechless, but I'm grateful that they shared with us. I hope that our prayers and love will in a small way help them through the heart ache. Life is so fragile.

Life is too fragile. It makes my heart break for them! I get teary eyed everytime I read the blog. Too sad that some have to deal with so much tragedy.

I know a woman whose brother and wife also had a daughter with trisomy. They were told she wouldn't live but a few days, she passed away just over a year ago at 4 years old. She was very loved and very much a part of this big, happy family.
This couple are now expecting again, and baby #2 will also be born with the same disorder. When I expressed my sadness they said, but we already know how to love this baby.
Our belief teaches us that we all wanted a body, what a trade-off.
