A pigtail, my clueless friends, is the plug in for a dryer. It has three prongs or four depending on the 220 outlet. I think it's called a pigtail pretty commonly. At least that's what every one I know calls it. Maybe it's an Idaho thing.
Rick did NOT have to go in for jury duty. Was he ever excited! He said, "Did you tell 'em thank you?" My naive, little spouse--it was only a machine, Rick. No real person left in the world any more.
I still have my cold. It's more in my chest now than my head. I think mucus in my chest is even more unpleasant. So hard to get OUT!! No, I'm too stubborn to go to a doctor. That would be admitting defeat--or intelligence--something like that.
A two-year old boy in a rural area in Arizona wandered out of his house barefoot, in only a diaper and dinosaur pj top a couple of days ago.( He looked a little like my Rooster a few years ago.) I always get so emotionally tied up when I see tragedy involving the kids. Some hikers saw little footprints and sadly the rescuers found his tiny body crumpled in the brush a mile from his house. He evidently followed the dog outside while the mom was sleeping and wandered for 3-4 miles around in circles. They said he must have suffered a lot because he was so young and had no shoes, etc. It's just heart-wrenching. I can't imagine how the parents must be grieving. I'm sorry to be dark and gloomy. It was just really upsetting. Such a horrible, horrible situation.
On a happier front--I am appliqueing forest animals--moose, squirrel, owl, bear and deer on a bumper pad for my newbie grandchild. I will post pictures when finished. It's time-consuming and tedious and not fun, but it will be cute.
Carry on, friends. Is tomorrow really Friday? I can't believe how fast this week has gone.

Hi there!! So nice to see you again!
I always get sad about those things when kids are involved too.
It tears me up when I hear about things like that happening to the little ones.
BTW - I knew what a pitail was...yay me.
The bumper pads sound cute, looking forward to seeing the pictures.
Omg that story made me so sad. Terrible no one noticed him walking around aimlessly for that long.
On a lighter note, I love your new background. You prob had it for a while, but I've been out of the loops for a couple weeks. It's good to be back!!
I'll confess...I didn't know what a pigtail was. But hey, I'm new to Idaho and I'm still figuring out the lingo. :)
Enjoy your frozen cake, sounds refreshing in that heat!
It's easy for me to get way to caught up in a story like that,so sad... I just sorta have to mentally slap myself and say, enough!
Tragic story! Is it the heat that got him I wonder?
We like pictures :)
I'm with you, these stories are so heartbreaking, no matter how often you hear them. I always ache for the poor parents who not only have to deal with the grief of losing their child, but also the guilt of having just turned their head for a minute...
