My Eyes Are Boiling

Have you ever felt that way? Eyes boiling...just hot, burning, miserably sharp headache. I woke up in the night knowing I was doomed. "Nothing good going to happen today," was my first thought.

It was a true prediction. This has been a lost day. Those ones where you just mark time til it's over. Hang on and hope you get it over.

My Rooster has swelling in his forehead and the bridge of his nose. Mom took him in to the doctor and they gave him antibiotics, but he's still swollen. I worry about my babies when they are sick or hurt. He wants G'ma Jo to come get him and Blake and bring them back here. So I will be heading up Thursday morning and return with my grandtwins on Friday. Blakers has swim lessons until then. That will have to be good enough. I hope the Roost will be better by then. (And grandma too...)

Rick had about the same kind of Father's Day as my Mother's Day. We're just horrible about celebrating anything. We used to go all out, but the enthusiasm has dwindled. That's one thing my mom carried on into her old age was celebrations. She made a big deal out of holidays and cooked and prepared special treats and decorations. I would like to tell her that I admired that now that I'm not really old yet, and I've copped out on special days. It's too late to tell her now. She'll never understand or remember if I tell her. Let that be a asterisk in life**compliment and praise before it's too late**

So my head and eyes won't allow me to read. There's nothing on TV. I don't even know if this post is making any sense. But I wanted to let you know that I'm puny. Just sayin'.

Sorry you're feeling crappy, it's the fishing, I'm telling you! Too much sun. Hope you're feeling better. I'm not very good about holiday celebrations either and I always feel guilty about it. I can't believe you're going back to Vegas so soon. Nut job!

What a good grandma you are. How long will the twins be with you? I agree with 'compliment them while you can'. My mother has late stage Alzheimers and doesn't know me or my sister or anyone/anything else anymore. Her 90th birthday just passed unheralded. It would have just confused her.

Hope you're feeling better.

I think it is the air in Phoenix... it is terrible. As we come down from Congress I can feel my eyes starting to burn and get red...if it wasn't for my dad I would be done with Phoenix for the summer...Prescott is where you will find me for the next couple of months..

Drat! I HATE 'boiling eyeballs'. And I HATE headaches because I've had them since I was 28. So I understand your pain. Thankfully, I'm OLDer now and don't get them as much (oh, another OLD thing). But heat and sun (and fishing?) will do it every time.

I'll be sending you nice cool thoughts and breezes since it is only 45 degrees outside my door right now. Can you feel it????

Holidays....we pretty much stink at them now, too. It's like it's an 'obligation', isn't it? And how come there are SOOOO many of them? Like everytime you turn around.

Feel better Grandma. Have a safe trip and give the grandkids some lovin' like only a Grandma can.

Boo for feeling icky. It's gotta be the weather. I swear, the heat out here makes me want to stab people with a spork.

Hoping your Monday is happy and boiling eyeball free!

Damn headaches!
And as far as holidays go, if I feel like it I go all out, if not, well there's always next year!
Feel better friend, and hey, I have the Little Loves! 4 kids in a pool, you and yacking our heads off? Good times:)

Celebrating is overrated anyway....(just saying that cause hubs wasn't home for Father's day)

Hope your eyes will stop boiling. I think they should be done by now.Aren't you suppose to turned them off after 10 minutes....sorry bad humor today....dealing with those Chinese you know who.
